Refunds and renewals
Try it first
Every copy of Affidavi starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature included. There is no card to enter and no account to create — download it, use it on real matters, and decide. The trial runs on your own computer; nothing about your work is sent to us. That is why the trial is the refund: by the time you pay, you have already seen exactly what you are paying for.
Annual plans
An annual plan (Solo or Firm) can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the first charge. Email licence@affidavi.ca from the address on your receipt; the refund goes back to the payment method you used, and the licence ends when it is issued. After those 14 days the year is not refundable, in whole or in part — but you can cancel the renewal at any time and keep using Affidavi to the end of the year you have paid for.
Monthly plans
Monthly plans are not refunded. Cancel at any time and the plan ends at the close of the month you have paid for — you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
Renewals
Every plan renews automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — at the price shown on the pricing page when you bought it, until you cancel. You can cancel from the link in your receipt email or by emailing licence@affidavi.ca; cancelling stops the next charge and never cuts short the period you have already paid for. If a plan's price changes, we email you before the change applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.
Payments
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record — its name appears on your card statement, and it collects any applicable tax. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Affidavi never sees or stores your card details.
If a payment fails
If a renewal payment does not go through — an expired card, for example — your licence keeps working for a short grace period while the payment is retried, and the app tells you why. If the payment still cannot be collected, the plan ends and the app says so plainly. Every document you have already made is an ordinary PDF or Word file in your own folders; nothing is locked or deleted.
Firm plans
A Firm plan covers up to 5 computers at once. Refunds and renewals work exactly as above; the 14-day window runs from the first charge on the plan, not from each installation.

Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
