Effective 18 July 2026  ·  Questions: licence@affidavi.ca

The short version. This website collects nothing about you automatically — no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party resources. The only personal information we hold is what you type into the early-access form, and we use it only to contact you about Affidavi. Documents you process in the Affidavi app are handled entirely on your own computer and are never uploaded to us.

This website

affidavi.ca is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and loads no third-party resources. Like nearly every web server, our hosting provider (Fly.io, served from Toronto) keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — which we use only to operate the site and prevent abuse.

The early-access form

If you ask for early access, we collect what you enter: your email address, firm name, your name, role, location, and (optionally) a phone number. The submission also records your IP address, for abuse prevention.

We store this in our own database on our hosting provider (Fly.io, Toronto region) and use it for one purpose: to send you a confirmation and to contact you about Affidavi — launch news and product updates. Emails are delivered through our email provider. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, beyond the service providers that store the data and deliver the email on our behalf.

To be removed from the list — or to ask what we hold about you — email licence@affidavi.ca and we will delete your submission.

The Affidavi app

The desktop app processes your documents entirely on your computer. There is no document cloud and no account that can browse your matters. The app's network activity is limited to licence activation and checking for software updates — never your documents. The app ships with its own privacy policy, which governs the app.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
